Rare, made in 1946, Community Chest Campaign Awarded 1949 trophy, a charming piece of mid-century Americana. Crafted from Syroco wood, a molded composite made from wood pulp fillers designed to resemble hand-carved wood. This whimsical figurine captures the playful style of the era. The base features a metal plate engraved “COMMUNITY CHEST 1949 CAMPAIGN AWARD,” making it both a collectible award & nostalgic artifact of post-war civic life. Community Chest programs were the forerunner of today’s United Way, making this award historically significant as well as visually delightful. With its retro details, original feather, and vintage patina, this piece is perfect for collectors of advertising memorabilia, mid-century décor, or Syroco wood figures. A unique award with both history & character.
Size: Approx. 3" x 2" base, 7 3/8" tall
Vintage condition: Excellent for age. No chips or cracks. Paint has patina, but has minimal wear considering the age of this adorable collectible piece.
